Well, if my math is correct, health care will get signed sometime Friday night. After all, Obama promised we’d have 5 days to look at every bill before he would sign anything that reached his desk. Remember that pledge?
Is anyone else noticing the outright arrogance of this administration? They are completely ignorant of public opinion (not to mention the constitution). Obama’s victory speech tried to say that America was listened to and he delivered what they wanted. Has he not seen the polls? Is he truly that far out of touch with reality or is he getting bad intelligence data from someone?
Then you have Jessie Jackson giving a smug look at tea partiers and grabbing at their signs, clearly attempting to bait them.
Al Sharpton understands what Obama’s change means. The man is claiming that Americans voted overwhelmingly for the way Obama is transforming the country, and if it is Socialism, so be it. His delivery is amazingly smug.
Now that the damage has been done everyone wants to know who needs to be held accountable in November. Below is the list of the 219 representatives that voted to pass this disasterous piece of legislation. Note that 34 Democrats joined every Republican in voting against it. Isn’t it nice to see that Obama is keeping his promise of ending partisanship? We actually had bi-partisan resistance to the bill, that’s certainly a step forward, right?
I’ve had several emails today asking if I knew where to get a live stream of the healthcare debate. Hit play below, where this debate is happening live (and the vote will be covered as well). You can watch the Democrats “make history” there, changing America from being a leader to being a follower.
