Take Away Al Gore’s Oscar?

The Las Angeles Times is reporting that two Academy members, Roger L. Simon and Lionel Chetwynd, are asking the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recall the Oscar that Al Gore won in 2007 for “An Inconvenient Truth”.  Of course, there is no way that such a demand will result in any action in the liberal world that is Hollywood, but it is humorous to see.  Simon and Chetwynd are Conservatives in Hollywood, something that is much more endangered than polar bears.

Anyone interested in seeing the leaked information for themselves can go to http://www.climate-gate.org/ (though you may a difficult time connecting since the site has been the victim of denial of service attacks by devout followers of the green religion).  The bits that have been highlighted are pretty damning, from hiding or skewing data to colluding to prevent studies contrary to manmade global warming doctrine from being published.

There’s a lot of good info @ climate-gate.org, thanks for the link. I think Hollywood would rather shut down than take the award way from their liberal god.

Peter Bronson added ClimateGate to his top ten list of media bias in 2009 ( http://www.peterbronson.com/?p=537 ):
“7. Global warming. The naked emperor has been exposed down to the goosebumps on Al Gore, thanks to leaked e-mails showing that global warming has been a hoax perpetrated by a crooked conspiracy of political scientists. There is still no evidence to support the notion that warming is caused by humans, or that it’s anything but a normal cycle. Yet the media is too heavily invested in the mythology to admit it. So they stick their fingers in their ears and yell loudly, “The science is settled, nah-nah-nah.” Every hot day in July is another proof of global warming, while a blizzard at a warming summit is conscientiously ignored.”

Never mind the Oscar. What about his Nobel Piece Prize? Taking that away would really hurt. No one gives two shitz about The Oscars anyway.

I can just see him now demanding a recount on the vote to rescind the awards. I have to say it puts a smile on my face.

Hehe. No, the work police did. Lost staff at work and was putting in way too much time there. Should be getting back to normal shortly and boy do I have plenty to vent about. Just when you think this administration can’t get worse, they do!
