Stimulus Rush and AIG

How did the AIG bonuses get approved? It was approved by the members of Congress that voted to approve the stimulus package. The rush to vote prior to reading and understanding the bill is the reason the AIG mess hit.

Hat tip to Richmond Tea Party.

They had the wording to kill these bonuses, and removed it. If they wanted to have that much control over AIG they should have nationalized it, or let it fail.

The other part of this that really upsets me is none of the Senate or Congress pay taxes. So why is it they can take our taxe money and spend it anyway they feel fit? Let’s get them to start paying for their share of spending our money.

Government intervention will only make all of this worse in the long run. All politicians are doing is basically running around like keystone cops trying to look like they are doing something right.

I saw McCotter on Red Eye last week. The guy is very intelligent, dry, and funny. Good clip from him. He’s here under Famous Faces… well worth a look.
