Followup on Chris Dodd and AIG

A reader yesterday was trying to suggest that Chris Dodd was innocent on the “Chris Dodd Amendment” that allowed the bonuses at AIG to go forward. After his initial denial, Chris Dodd has come out and admitted that he was the one that put the amendment in. Hopefully this video will set the record straight. Hat tip to Vulcan’s Hammer.

Actually if you read closely, I was not so much defending Dodd (never been a big fan – see PB Presidential Primary stuff I wrote). I was just pointing out that those who were saying “Dodd put the language in” were doing so without anything to back it up other than (from what I saw) the same Fox Business story. You simply couldn’t tell by looking at the record WHO added that language.

Now it’s pretty clear that there is a Geithner-Dodd spat going on. I’m not surprised Dodd lost. I’m actually pretty happy he did in a way.

I’m just cooking up some popcorn to watch this deal between Geithner and Dodd. I expect it’s far from over.

I would guess that you are right. I’ve got more to say on this over at PB, but right now I’m putting the final touches on my bracket and getting ready to head to the bar. It’s time. ;-)

Good luck with the brackets. I never do as well as I hope. It always seems to make sense when I fill them out, but after the games are finished I can’t help but wonder “What was I thinking!?!?!”

Actually, I posted alternate resource information from ABC (from February) in the comment section at PB and got the smarmy you can’t read bit to point out that what was clearly written wasn’t really written at all. Oh, but I obfuscate.

Even those that weren’t “defending” Dodd nor have really ever “supported” him, I trust Dodd made it clear enough for all the reading impaired to understand, even those that stated that this is all Bush and Paulson’s fault.

Bwahahahaha! I hope those people in CT will finally open up their eyes and vote this clown out their next cycle!

I especially love it when the sheeple look like idiots for blindly following their dummicrat officials in to a deep pit.

    One can only hope BoBo.
