Yesterday, a woman claimed that she was robbed and mutilated after using an ATM in Pittsburgh. KDKA is reporting that the woman had inconsistencies in her story and eventually admitted to making the story up. In a way, this is a good thing (that someone didn’t actually perpetrate this act)… in another, it’s absolutely disgusting that the woman, 20-year-old Ashley Todd, made this story up.
Acts like this are what feed blind partisanship. It does not further anyone’s campaign, and does not move forward the political discussion.
The woman will face charges. Police have not yet disclosed what the charges will be.
