With the polls narrowing and momentum appearing to shift towards McCain, now is not the time to start having fundraising problems for Obama. According to the Associated Press, Obama only raised $36 million in the first two weeks of October. That’s drastically slower than the $150 he raised in September. In that same two week October period, he spent $105 million, double the spending pace he had in September.
According to The Patriot Room, McCain is only trailing Obama by about $10 million in funds. That could tighten up the advertising exposure, a key for changing the minds of undecided voters this late in the race.

It depends on what type of campaign ads those advertising dollars are spent on. There’s a lot of nasty, negative campaigning going on by both candidates but you’re candidate seems to be leading the pack. Maybe Republicans just like to fund dirty campaign ads more than Democrats do. (well it was worth a try)
Anyway, I think your Entrecard widget looks bee-ooo-ti-ful! Keep up the good fight, dude!
Wonder where that Entrecard came from?
I’m sure McCain has found negative ads to be most effective. For many, McCain’s strongest positive is that he’s not as bad a choice for them as Obama is. If that’s the message that gets the most traction, that’s what you go with.
What’s interesting is that Obama and McCain are spending about the same on negative ads. Obama and the Democrat Party can’t claim the high ground with regards to negative campaigning.
It’s odd that Obama is going to break the record for ad spending in a campaign and yet this is still a close race. Either McCain has been extremely effective with limited financing (and the negative ads are working well), Obama’s not that strong a candidate, or ads in general are a waste of money.
Thanks for stopping by from time to time. Good to have someone with an opposing point of view put good posts up!
