RWNJ Conservative Views from Cincinnati

I usually try to look at both sides of things, but Obama is really out of touch right now.  This youtube clip says it all.  It’s got some commentary in it, but it’s the only clip I’ve found with his quote.  It appears Obama is basically saying that anyone who doesn’t want more taxes is simply selfish.  Then he compares taxation to sharing toys in Kindergarten, or sharing a sandwich.

There is a difference between charity/sharing and taxation.  Sharing is an act one chooses to do, taxation is something that is forced.  If I don’t share, I’m just an ass.  If I don’t pay taxes I’m heading to jail.

I also hate to point it out, but Conservatives are more charitable than Liberals.

A My Fox Dallas report details the adventures of a Chapel Hill, North Carolina man that was tired of having his McCain yard signs stolen and replaced with Obama signs.  The man, Shawn Turschak, an electrical engineer, wired his sign up an a power supply from an electrical pet fence.  He set up a camera in a nearby tree and kept surveillance.

The camera caught a rather short individual approaching his sign with an Obama sign.  The youngster touched the sign and quickly ran off the way he came.  Shortly afterward, a neighbor came to the house complaining that his 9-year old son had been electrocuted.

Captain James Nida of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department says he doesn’t plan to file charges.

The Washington Post has posted the ratings for last night’s Obama “Infomercial.”  The early raings show that it got 30.1 million viewers.  ABC, who did not show “Barack Obama: American Stories” got 6.6 million viewers for “Pushing Daisies” (more than its 5.7 million last week and even more than the 6.3 million it got for the season premiere).  Some further breakdown of the ratings:

• NBC: 10 million (last week: 8 million for “Knight Rider”)
• CBS: 8.7 million (last week: 8 million for “The New Adventures of Old Christine”)
• FOX: 8 million (last week: 10 million for “Bones”)
• Univision: 3.7 million

Numbers are not yet available for cable networks (MSNBC, BET and TVOne) that also showed the special.

It will be interesting to see if this has any affect on the momentum the McCain campaign has had the past week.  We may not know for sure for a few days as polls tend to lag influences such as this.

BBC News posted an article awarding the title of most viewed YouTube 2008 Campaign video to “Dear Mr. Obama.”  The video has amassed over 11 million views since its posting 2 months ago.  The message is clear and given by an Iraq veteran.

The owners of a West Hollywood home finally took down the effigy of Palin hanging by a noose that RWNJ reported on earlier.  According to this CBS2 report, neighbors came and obscured the mannequin with a sheet.

Later that evening, some protesters arrived with an SUV and an effigy of their own.  They strung up a mannequin labeled “Chad” (after the homeowner, Chad Morrissette) in a noose.  It was apparently effective as shortly afterward, the Palin mannequin came down.  A video is avalable at the CBS2 report.
